Usborne first experience : Going to the doctor

ごっこ遊びが大好きな上の子（3歳）ですが、中でも好きなのがお医者さんごっこです。

なので好んでdoctor系のストーリーは読んでくれます。でも医療系の英語って結構難しいですよね。。

この絵本が個人的におすすめで、診察までの流れがよく描かれてます。

このページなんかは専門用語もしっかり出てきて大人も勉強になります。

She takes her temperature with a thermometer.

Then she looks down Jenny's throat.

"It's very red," she says.

Then she examines Jenny's ears with an otoscope.

"Your ears are fine," she tells Jenny.

Doctor Woody listens to Jenny's breathing with a stethoscope. 

"Breath in and out deeply," she says.

She feels Jenny's neck to see if her glands are swollen.

"You have a slight chest infection," she says.

体温計はさすがに知ってますが、残り2つは馴染みないですね。。これを機にまず私がインプットします！

• look down one's throat　喉を診る
• breath in and out deeply　深く息を吸って吐いてをする
• one's glands are swollen　扁桃腺が腫れてる

このあたりもなるほどな〜という表現です。
